On Hiatus!!! Sorry!!!

I wasn't originally going to be on hiatus till the middle of October due to exams but I've realised that there are a lot more assignments that I have bargained for! Last tests and labs are still yet to be done and I find it difficult to update this blog as well. So just before people get confused, I'm on hiatus till mid Novemberish and there is a whole bunch of things I want to get done! Don't fret, cos on my procrastination days at uni I will be starting to write articles for the blog as I've got a few things up my sleeve to add so please bear with me as there is so much I wanna get through!

Chai Bak Chuen (Moses Chan Ho) is a descendent of a government official. His family was framed and sentenced to beheading, but luckily, he managed to survive and escape. He becomes the disciple of Kiu Boon Yip (John Chiang Dai Wai), the boss of Shanxi's first bank, Ding Fung Sing.

Chuen realizes that Ba Ba Ha Yi Ko Wai (Sonija Kwok Sin Nei) is a foreigner because she feels inferior, so doesn't dare to show her love. Meanwhile, the Kiu's second young mistress, Kiu Jun (Tavia Yeung Yi) and the military aircraft official, Cheung Sung Man (Steven Ma Chun Wai) love each other. However, the couple's relationship, because Man has to impartially investigate Ding Fung Sing, meets conflicts.

On one occasion, Ding Fung Sing suffers from big storekeeper Cho Yu Tai's (Lau Dan) frame, almost causing them to go out of business. The imperial court doesn't end harsh laws and furthermore, it asks Ding Fung Sing to keep inflating money. Before Yip's death, he hands Ding Fung Sing to Chuen, who time and time again helped him to overcome difficulties. The merchant fights with wealth, government officials fight still with power. How can Chuen lead Ding Fung Sing in facing the corrupt late Qing government?

This series look awesome...yet tragic. Plotwise it looks really good and the storyline seems very interesting. It has a stunner of a cast line up! Along with the four leads we have four veterens - John Chiang, Lau Dan, Chan Hung Lit and Chung King Fai! Tavia looks VERY pretty! All the costumes are pretty, so far it looks very promising. I can't wait till I get my hands on an episode. With its tragic love story and business relations will it be able to do as well as War and Beauty? We'll have to wait and see.

Miss Chinese New Zealand (or something along those lines)

I'm going to be quite busy tonight so unable to write a full analysis about the contestants, but I thought Id stick this in now before the final results are known as the pageant is held tonight. Hopefully it will be aired on TV so I can tell you the contestants performances. There will be TVB guests with Ander Jun, Leanne Li, Charmaine Sheh and Joe Ma. Excuse the quality of the pictures as they were scans. Another version will be followed up later with details about the contestants. Also take note that some of them DONT look exactly what they look like on the photo. I'll mention those ones beneath the pics. Oh and click to enlarge for a much clearer version!

No. 4 somehow resemble Sharon Chan, No. 5 looks similiar to Griselda Yeung and No. 6 looks like an exact replica of Pinky Cheung despite her just in her last year of high school.

No. 11 looks like Natalie Wong, though yet again on the preshow she dosent looke like what she does in the photo. No. 12 doesn't look AS old.

I've only seen the last couple of contestants on the preshow and they don't look as terrible as they do in the pics. (They should fire the photographers!) I'm waiting for the show to determine who really deserves to get the crown, but so far I dont think Aimee Chan has anything to worry about yet as this year's winner will take part in Miss Chinese International.

Top Five: Supporting Actress

I was reading Asia's blog awhile ago and reading about Best Supporting Actor, and I was just thinking of listing my own top five supporting actors and actresses as they don't get as big recognition as the main actors and actresses and I'd do the opposite, females first then males cos I'm having difficulties with the males right now. Note this is my own top five supporting actresses not necessarily the best.

No. Five

Akina Hong - 康華

I remember the first series I recognised her was on "Armed Reaction IV" (or III if she was in it, but I dont quite remember that much) playing Ada Choi's stepmum. She was so warm and caring and very gentle. Next character I recognise her was playing Kenix's enemy in "Love Bond" playing a mischieve and sneaky character. After watching "The Trust of a Lifetime" she played an emotionally distress wife where her husband was missing. She is a very versatile actress and great actress. I've always liked her acting and I hope to see more and play another gentle character as this was the type of role I most remember her from. Didnt even know she particapated in Miss HK. Thus this proves pre-millenium's Miss HK's can act. Only a few in the past-milleniums can.

No. Four

Angela Tong - 湯盈盈

I remembered a lot of people not liking her in the early days because she always ended up playing the sexy seductress or something along those lines. Well thats partly true but she did play some "sane" characters which made me like her. I never did hated her, just somewhat annoyed but then I grew my liking as soon as she played characters that were good. I remember one out of the top of my head would be "Legend of Love" which starred Deric Wan and Sonija Kwok. The series wasn't great but still it showed that Angela could play other characters. Another would be "Wong Fei Hung - Master of Kung Fu" which also starred Bosco Wong, John Chiang. I dont know about everyone else but I loved this series mainly due to my low expectations. These were all prior to "Life Made Simple" so it just shows that she does capture many roles.

No. Three

Sherming Yiu - 姚樂怡

I've always liked Sherming as soon as I saw her in Virtues of Harmoney. She was very cute with Hawick Lau. I was always rooting for them. She is also a very underated actress. I remember seeing her as a very b*tchy role in Return of the Cuckoo as a repeat and it just showed how versatile she is. She also played recently (well from what I've seen) in "Forensic Heroes", despite her small role, she played it very well. There's also "To Love with No Regrets" playing another b*itchy role but turned good. She wasn't as evil as Annie Man. What makes her performance memorable is the fact that she seems to be quite a shy person in real life. I remember first seeing her in "Get Set Go" the Olympics show that tvb set up and a real shy person. Chin Ka Lok told her why did she put her coat back on and remove it so she'll fly higher but she shock her head in embarrasment. She also went on "Super Trio" I think 3 times? If you've seen her in it, shes quite shy and seems real friendly person to be around. I think this what makes her even a better actress. Playing characters out of her comfort zone. Hope to see more of her in the future and become appreciated by TVB.

No. Two

Halina Tam - 譚小環

Another versatile actress. I had trouble picking her and another actress for No. One but gave her second because she seems to be the most likely get the most recognition. I've always liked her for some reason. (Yes that same excuse) Perhaps it was her onscreen presence cos she played a lot of evil characters (similar in the lines with Angela) but I remember watching her in "The W Files" where she played a good character. It was quite hard for me to be straight about this. I always thought that there was something up her sleeve. I hear she has a lot of good roles and funny with Wayne Lai. I'm looking forward to those series since I haven't seen it yet and heard that she plays comedic in "The Gentle Crackdown" so looking forward to that. I was quite disappointed that TVB changed the "CIB" cast where it was originally Halina Tam and Joyce Tang that were going to be the female leads. They offer more onscreen presence then Christine Ng and Maggie Siu even though they are both great actresses. Though unlikely to get a lead role, I hope she will soon secure a significant 2nd role.

No. One

I've decided to make it more suspenseful! Can anyone guess who "my" No. One Fav Supporting Actress is? I know its hard but I'll offer a clue:

Tavia Yeung Has Her Bust Measured in Public - Clarified Version

At a function, Tavia had her bust size measured and will be using the products of the company for 100 days. After the 100 days, she will have her bust measure again to prove that the product works. Tavia expressed that she did not feel embarrassed to have her chest measured in public and that she hopes to receive a result of a 33C chest size after the program. The actress then disclosed that she is trying the program out so that she will be able to have a perfect figure. When asked if the program was successful, would she start wearing skimpy outfits more often. To this, Tavia commented that she will not purposely reveal her nice figure but she does not object to sex appeal.

Tavia Yeung has become spokesperson for the Be A Lady Beauty Centre for their breast enhancement and sculpture system and in order to prove the results of the product, she joined three models to have her bust measured to compare with the results in a hundred days time to prove that the product has worked.

Being measured in public, Tavia was not embarrassed as she measured up as a 31B and she smiled: "It's okay! There is nothing I cannot show. (What measurement would you like your bust to be?) I hope to be a 33C." Asked about her fee, she smiles that it is very good and this product needs to be worn for ten hours a day, but she has to film so is she worried that she will not have enough time to wear it? The organisers had arranged for the models to try the enhancement product and it looked quite large and bulky, but Tavia says that she has tried wearing it for five or six hours and she did not feel uncomfortable and she felt good because at least she does not have to take pills or have injuections and it will not reduce in time. Having previously said that she likes her flat chested figure, why is she now looking to enhance her breasts? She says frankly that when she was filming "casino Crisis" people laughed that her pads were very fake and whenever she removed her pads, people would laugh at her and be surprised at her real figure. This hurt her, so she thought seriously about improving her figure.

She insists that she is not looking to go down the sexy route, but a beautiful shape will make her look even better in some outfits and the only problem she can envisage is that she will have to buy herself a new set of clothes. Asked if she will be wearing skimpy tops more, she smiled: "There are more to come, so wait and see. As long as it is not overly revealing, then I will not object to being sexy." She believes that enhancing her breasts will increase her confidence, but as for whether this will attract more admirers, she smiles: "I am not afraid, this can be a good thing because it proves that I have appeal and attractiveness."

The reason why I posted this, is because this was posted on the Af forum and many people had not bothered to read the later article and made many assumptions about the whole process even after numerous times members have stated that the woman's breasts are not the actual size. I felt like I couldn't stress it enough. Anyways she's not injecting herself with anything or eating any pills. It's more an outside thing more than and inside thing which is could so she couldnt not harm herself. I personally find Tavia's figure pretty nice in itself but if she feels that this will boost her confidence up then I'll support her. Just hope she doesnt turn into an over sexy symbol like *cough* but it seems she reassured everyone that she wont go over the top!

Sorry for my absence everyone. I was only away for like a week or so because I had this massive essay to write and the realisation that I didnt answer one of the questions in my psych report. Then there was work and so much more but I wont bore you with the long details. I have been online, just mainly browsing on everyone else's blogs and to catch up with any news in HK recently. I never knew that keeping up a blog would be such hardwork! So I admire to everyone else who is able to keep a blog and update it periodically. I'll try to update once a week but it may prove to be difficult with the future essays I have due soon! I will stop updating Tavia news cos to be frank most people already know about it and those translated are by other peoples blogs where people can reach them. I'll update certain Tavia news where I want to put in my input but I'll coming from a new approach with interesting articles that I may come up with, probably not as humorous as Metals, but I'll try my best! Thanks to everyone who has been sticking around and I'll post up some interesting articles today since I'm free! Yay!!!

"糖心風暴" - Sweet Heart Tempest, it's final name?

There has been numerous titles for the 40 episode series starring Tavia Yeung, Bosco Wong, Moses Chan, Linda Chung, Yoyo Mung, Raymond Lam, Carrie Lam, Fala Chen and Lee Si Kei.

Currently 糖心風暴 is the title but its also tentative so not a lot is known. Anyway after browsing the Asianfanatics forum I've found some interesting stuff about this series translated by Kozzi who's also the web mistress of Bosco's official english site!! Anyways this is from Tavia's site www.taviayeung.com which is revamped with a new layout. There are MAJOR spoilers so read at your own risk!

Tavia's Character:
Tough and stubborn personality, even slightly self-centred. Has a unreasonable bossy attitude. She'd do things simply because she felt like it. Not afraid to love or hate. Married into a wealthy family, but was treated poorly by husband. All her life, she just wanted to experience a fierce and intense relationship. After meeting Yat (Bosco Wong), she thought that she had finally met her ideal partner.

Background and Experience:
She was originally a famous model with plenty of potential. Just when her career was about to take off, she met a famous wealthy young man, Yeung Siu Chi (Raymond Lam?). Jackie's mother, Mei, wanted her to become rich, so she instructed Jackie to marry into the Yeung family, using any means possible. Naive Jackie got what she wanted, but her life with the Yeung family was not happy. Chi was always out playing around, and beat Jackie whenever he was upset.

By chance, Jackie met Yat (Bosco Wong), who had just returned to Hong Kong. Their meeting must've been the work of fate, because they quickly engaged in a passionate relationship. Chi soon discovered their relationship, and was enraged. As a result, he started beating Jackie even more. Yat used private investigators to obtain photographs of Chi cheating with other women to blackmail Chi. Chi finally agreed to divorce Jackie, and this became the latest gossip in town.

Yat announced to the Tong family his plans to marry Jackie. His family were all equally surprised, especially Boh, Kam, and them, who tried to create conflict within the family. Yat didn't care about public opposition, and was determined to hold this wedding. This incident became the focus of the media. However, only Hau (Yat's mom) knew the reason behind it all. Turns out Jackie already had Yat's baby; that was why Yat was forced to quickly marry Jackie. However, since Chi only just divorced Jackie, and Yat then immediately holds such a grand wedding, Chi was convinced that they were trying to humiliate him, so Chi developed an intense hatred for Yat.

After Jackie married into the Tong family, her greedy mother was the first one to be unhappy, because the Tong's wealth did not compare to that of Chi's family. Hence, she often criticized the Tong family. Furthermore, Jackie also didn't agree with a lot of Hau's conversative and traditional ways, so there was a lot of friction between the mother and daughter-in-law.

After Yat had settled with a family, mother-in-law, Mei, always looked down on him, creating a lot of pressure for Yat, making him very driven for results. He wanted to have some achievements to show Jackie. Yat's shark fin restaurant business was originally doing fairly well, but he was so determined to develop the business further that he lost his conscience. He sold several stores to expand the business, splitting the Tong family into two sides: those that agreed with this and those that didn't. All of this created many internal conflicts within the family. Afterwards, Yat wanted to start an abalone shark fin buffet business, and suggested to split the family wealth, so that each member can develop their own businesses. Li strongly opposed the idea. Afterwards, Gaai feigned sickness, so everyone temporarily forgot about the splitting of the family's inherited wealth. Right then, Yat's business was getting bigger and bigger, which created a perfect chance for Chi to take revenge. Chi used many cheap tricks to cause Yat's business to fail miserably, so that nobody would be willing to work with Yat. As a result, Yat lost 200 million dollars. The entire Tong family pointed their fingers at Jackie, and believed that Jackie was the one that dragged the Tong family down. Yat lost faith in everything and stayed away from the business altogether. Right then, Li proposed to let On (maybe Moses?) assume the chairman position of the Tong's Seafood Store, creating friction between the two brothers, which further fueled the fight for the inherited family wealth later on. Yat sided with Kam in this.

This is more interesting that I had first anticapated! Two great BoTa storylines, and if Raymond is really Tavia's husband....this should be interesting! Another child for BoTa again? But from this "preview" I'm more excited about this series that I originally thought!!

Bosco teases Tavia during filming

Bosco Wong and Tavia Yeung were filming on location in Central yesterday and for Bosco who had to wear a suit jacket in the heat of summer, he says it is nothing compared to when he was filming previously in 40 degree heat. He did buy everyone a drink to cool down though.

At around 10pm, Bosco and Tavia were filming for new series "Sweet-centred Storms" and although it was night time, temperatures were still in the 30's, but Bosco did not complain at all as he joked around with Tavia.

When they met the press, Tavia immediately asked: "Which paper are you from?", to which Bosco laughed: "Are you choosing your jobs now?" making Tavia laugh out loud. Afterwards Bosco explained: "I daren't laugh at her, she is very bossy! And she hits people, so I daren't anger her! No, she is really nice and I am just joking!"

Bosco also adds that although the temperatures were very hot that evening, making him wipe his sweat all the time, it is no big deal to him: "When we were filming in the Philippines, it was so hot that I didn't want to speak and had to jump into the water to cool down, so compared to this, it is not such hard work filming in Hong Kong as it is just around 34 degrees. You just have to drink a few more bottles of pop and it's not so hot and there is aircon in the car, so it is quite comfortable really."

Tavia wears backless dress for beauty event

Tavia Yeung wore a backless dress to a beauty event yesterday as an opening guest and she smiles that next time, she wants to be their spokesperson. "This time I am just a guest for the opening, but next time I hope to be a spokesperson because I feel a little fat on my thighs and would like to reduce my hips to 33 ins. I can't lose from the parts that need to be bigger!" Tavia laughs that she misses her fake breasts: "Since wearing the costume for 'casino Crisis', I have found myself to be very greedy and I can't go back, so I really miss being busty! I would like to have a bit more, but I will only use clothing to enhance my figure to make it look healthier and natural and I don't want to go for surgery."

Costume Fitting for The Academy II

TVB held its costume fitting for the "The Academy 2." The title for the sequel will be 《學警出更》(loose translation: "Police Cadets on the Beat").

The cast includes Michael Tao, Sonija Kwok, Ron Ng Cheuk Hei, Sammul Chan King Fung, Joey Yung Cho Yi, Deep Ng, Kenny Kwan, Yan Ng Yat Yin, Kate Tsui, Winnie Shum, Charles Szeto, Ellesmere Choi, Tang Chi Fung, Power Chan, Chan Hoi Yee, Lee Ka Sing, Florence Kwok, Chin Ka Lok, Selena Li, Gordan Liu, Wai Ying Hung, Lai Suen, Lo Koon Lan.

Ron, Sammul, and Deep will be playing their old characters again. Tavia Yeung Yi and Fiona Sit will guest star only in the first few episodes, playing their old characters as well. Tavia's character will leave for Japan to pursue her education, as a result leading to a new love relationship between Ron and Joey.

As for Fiona's character, she will suffer a traffic accident and die as a result. Sammul will have a crush on Sonija's character.

It has been 3 years since Joey Yung has filmed for TVB. Since Joey will be collaborating with rumor magnets Ron & Kate, how does she feel? Joey laughed, "I have always been rumor free. When I have time on the set, I will relax or sleep."

Also due to the filming requirements for "The Academy 2," Joey had to reschedule 3 months of work into one month. "I'm about to die!" Since she will be releasing her Mandarin album in July, she will have to fly to Taiwan for some promotional events. When Joey saw Sonija at the event yesterday, they were very chatty with each other, as both had performed at the 2000 Miss HK pageant.

Ron Ng will be once again be working with Kate Tsui, is he worried about more rumors? "It is TVB's decision to partner us again! I am not worried about rumors! Since we have worked together before, we will have more compatibility. The most important thing is to do my best." Since Ron did not cut his hair for the role yet, he did not dare appear in a police uniform.

Sonija Kwok and Michael Tao will be appearing as husband and wife and both will be police officers. Since Sonija's police officer rank is higher than Michael's, they will often have arguments. But the two will reunite despite marital differences.

Wearing a police uniform, Sonija said excitedly, "My childhood dream was to become a policewoman. I also thought of applying to become an officer, but in the end did not submit my form. I will be observing some police officers to understand more of their habits." (Will Sonija's character involve a lot of action scenes?) "My position will be seen more frequently in the office, so there will not be a lot of action scenes."

To suit his policeman image, Michael Tao especially went to the sun tanning salons to darken his skin. He loved his tanned results and vowed that he will never be a paled skinned man anymore!

Michael admitted that he tanned his whole body in the nude, but reporters pointed out, wouldn't the ultra-violet rays weaken his sensitive regions? Michael laughed, "I am not weak; I am very strong!" Michael feels thrilled and honored to be able to collaborate with Sonija on the new series.

Sammul Chan was originally filming overseas for series "Chor Lau Heung," but flew back to HK especially for the costume fitting. Sammul will have to rush back overseas to complete his filming afterwards.

Deep Ng's arm had a scar yesterday. He explained that he had suffered an injury while filming for a movie recently. Deep's character will only be in the series for 5-6 episodes. The script speaks of Deep's character leaving prison and accepting a job as a fitness trainer. He will then go to China to start his own business.

Hey everyone! I'm so sorry for my week (probably more) of absence. Second semester has started and I'm kinda avoiding my computer. I already have two assignments to due already and it looks to be a killer! But I'm trying to go back to weekly updates so I wont update as often but I'll try as hard as I can. I'm postponing top five and decided to do another feature instead and depending on the time I'll try to post it up on Saturday. But then again there's my essay...

Bosco Wong and Tavia Yeung were filming earlier in the Philippines for new series "Casino Crisis" in a scene where a group of girls in a beauty pageant had to parade beside the pool and although Bosco wasn't required to get into the water, behind the camera he was still playing around with Tavia in the water. "The weather was too hot there, I believe it was around 40 degrees, so as soon as I saw the water, I was very happy and after the shoot was completed, I didn't think about it and jumped into the water to cool off. Everyone thought I was a bit mad, but with the heat, you can suffer if you don't cool down. On one day when we did the blessing ceremony, I was so hot that I had to go and cool off."

Bosco has another experience of being overheated: "I had hired a coupe sports car and I thought it would be easy to drive, but it is not the case because there is no air conditioning and with the hot weather and no wind, the car was difficult to handly and it was very hard work because I was so hot." He still had a good time filming because he was working opposite comedy masters Michael Miu and Bobby Au Yeung and there were many antics: "Michael and Bobby had to film an explosion sceen that told of them both getting black from the smoke, but people didn't know and thought they had tanned so much. I laughed too when I saw their looks."

Moses, Raymond, Linda, Tavia, Bosco in New 40 Episode Series

In producer Lau Ka Ho's new series, Moses Chan Ho will be acting as Ha Yu's illegitimate son and will help manage Ha's abalone business. However, Moses' image appeared to be very old-fashioned, as he wore black kung fu shoes. Moses explained that he wanted to convey a more traditional look.

Other cast members include Yoyo Mung Ka Wai, Raymond Lam Fung, Linda Chung Ka Yan, Bosco Wong Chung Chak, Tavia Yeung Yi, Lai Lok Yi, Fala Chen, Wayne Lai Yiu Cheung, Lee Si Kei, Michelle Mai Shuet and last year's Miss Hong Kong 2nd runner-up, Carrie Lam Lei.

Linda will be acting as a lawyer and will be in a love triangle with Moses and Raymond Lam. Reporters noted that Raymond is a rumors magnet, but Linda is not afraid, as there are rumors each time she acts in a series. Besides, Linda is able to remove herself from her character once she finished filming a series, thus not allowing herself to fall in love with her co-stars.

Bosco and Tavia have just finished filming "Dou Cheung Fung Wan" and will be appearing as lovers again in the new series. Is Bosco afraid that there is no fresh feeling since he just worked with Tavia? Bosco said no, as they know each other quite well, which will only be an advantage in filming their romantic scenes.

Aside from Linda, Carrie is another tall actress in the series. Although standing at 5 ft 11 inches, Bosco is afraid that the girls will appear taller than him. Bosco joked and said that he will make sure to tell Carrie not to stand next to him, or perhaps he will buy a pair of high heels to wear.

In the series, Lai Lok Yi's mother will be a mistress. As there are many pretty actresses in this series, is Lai afraid that there will be rumors? He laughed, "Maybe you should ask the actresses if they are anxious, since I am considered handsome too." Lai also said that he has worked with all the actresses in the past before, so if there were rumors, they would have happened long before.

Tavia Yeung Yi will be playing a model in the series. She sported a refreshing Cleopatra hairstyle with bangs at the costume fitting yesterday. Tavia mentioned that she might wear a fake bust to enhance her curves this time as well, since she will be playing a model.

Yoyo Mung Ka Wai mentioned that in the series, she will be pairing with Raymond Lam Fung as a couple. Yoyo mentioned that she will be playing the villian this time and will be stealing someone's boyfriend.

Veternan actress, Lee Si Kei, will also be returning to TVB to film for this series. Since her leave, she was confused by the vast number of "new" actresses in the series. Si Kei pointed to Yoyo Mung Ka Wai and said, "I know she must be quite famous, as I recognize her face, but I don't know her name."

TVB's new series "Casino Crisis" headed out to Dongguan's five star Grand Oriental Hotel to continue filming on the 27th. The trip will last eight days and the food and accommodation expenses for the whole crew as well as locations on site have all been sponsored by the hotel.

Cast members from the series include Michael Miu, Bobby Au Yeung, Jessica Hsuan, Tavia Yeung and Bosco Wong. The story tells of a man from a rich background, but in the frivolity of his youth, he becomes bankrupt, so over the decades, he experiences many ups and downs before he realises his ways. Michael plays a hotel executive, who has a complicated love affair with Jessica. Michael says that when he has time off, he likes to go to Dongguan to play golf.

From the introduction given by the hotel's Managing Director, the speciality of the hotel is modern luxury, with small, medium and large function rooms and buffet restaurants that reflect the best of Eastern and Western cuisines. Together with an array of facilities, the hotel is decorated to a high standard and fully reflects the portrayal in the series of how the rich and successful live.

Now first off, why did I put these quite different people together? Well My Family was played here and I re-watched some of the episodes as my grandma has not seen them. First thing - I did NOT know that Hawick could sing! When he did, I was completely blown away. Not only was he good, he had this nice low husky voice similar to none other than Raymond Lam! Below are links to their songs so you can see for yourself how similar singing voices they are. I originally wanted to put Raymond's Yummy Yummy theme song but he was only on a small proportion of it (I think this is the song where his voice sounds best despite him not leading the song!) so I decided to put in 忘記傷害,though his voice isn't as low its still just as good; and the file is small!

Also both actors are very versatile and very talented. Disappointed that Hawick left tvb, I would of liked it if he and Raymond starred in a series together. Whilst filming on location in the Philippines earlier for the new series "Casino Crisis", Michael Miu and his 'adopted son' Bosco Wong had a great time and Michael also celebrated his birthday there. Bosco had made preparations in advance and had bought him a sports top as a gift. On Michael's birthday on 13th June, he received Bosco's gift and when he tried it on, Bosco kept showering him with praises about how good he looked in it and making Michael very happy indeed as he wore the jacket to have photos taken, despite the fierce heat.

The producer Cheung Kin Man also gave Michael a great birthday gift, allowing him time off from filming to watch the World Cup match on that day and giving the cast and crew the night off to celebrate with him. Apart from this, the owner of the holiday camp where they were all staying also held a 'crab banquet' for them all as they enjoyed some delicious food. Michael laughs that it is good to make everyone happy on his birthday.

Michael Miu Kiu Wai and Bosco Wong Chung Chak have been working together for the last 6 months due to filming for "Au Revoir Shanghai" and "Dou Cheung Fung Wan" back-to-back. Michael and Bosco have a father-son relationship and even shared a hot kiss together, which was full of whipped cream, to celebrate Michael's birthday!

E-Buzz host Lai Ching San visited the set of "Dou Cheung Fung Wan" in Philippines and even brought a cake to celebrate Michael's birthday. Michael did not know that Lai Ching San prepared a cake for him, so he was pleasantly surprised. Although Bosco and Tavia Yeung Yi did not have to film any scenes that day, they dropped by the set for the celebration too.

Aside from the cake, the cast members also gave Michael a big birthday card filled with well wishes. Birthday man, Michael said, "I am very happy that so many people care about me!"

Afterwards, Michael and Bosco imitated the passionate kiss shared by Michael and Jessica Hsuan in an earlier scene. Bosco said, "Michael is a great guy and he is very playful. I don't mind sharing a hot kiss with him!"

June 18th was the actual day of Michael's birthday. Bobby Au Yeung, Jessica Hsuan, Tavia Yeung, Bosco Wong, Eileen Yeow, Florence Kwok, and other cast members as well as production crew members all celebrated with Michael.

Jessica Hsuan, Michael Miu, Bobby Au Yeung and Tavia Yeung were among the cast members of "Casino Crisis" who headed over to the Philippines to film earlier. Among the scenes were two kissing scenes between Michael and Jessica and he smiles that it was 'very luscious', whereas Jessica complained that Michael was rather 'prickly'. One of the scenes was filmed at the airport, telling of how Michael is helping Jessica to get over her father's death by doing some dangerous stunts on a glider and scaring Jessica to death. When she sees him returning safely, her true emotions are shown and they share a loving kiss.

Michael commented that he was a little numbed by the kiss, but it was very nice: "I ate a lot of her lip balm, so I had better buy her a new one." Jessica complained of being pricked by Michael's stubble, but he wasn't apologetic about this, joking: "Sorry for poking you!", causing plenty of laughs.

Michael had already notified his wife of the impending kissing scene and as she is a former artiste herself, she does not mind and was actually more worried about his gliding, because the director had asked him to do his own action shots and there is an element of danger. Luckily there is a good safety record at the venue and Jamie was a little relieved by this. The scene was completed successfully.

TVB series "Casino Wars" has been out filming in the Philippines and the crew, including Bobby Au Yeung, Michael Miu, Bosco Wong and Tavia Yeung returned to Hong Kong on Wednesday. Bobby and Tavia were too tired and quickly disappeared after leaving the arrivals area, but Bosco and Michael stuck around to talk to the press as Michael wore the France top that Bosco bought him for his birthday. Bosco revealed that he stayed in a house with Michael and his assistant, so he cooked every day and they have become great friends. Asked if he has been going out at night to find some fun, Bosco says: "There is no nightlife there, just a supermarket."

Bobby and Florence Kwok filmed in the red light district, but they had to keep up their guard because there were both men and women there looking for business, with many men selling Viagra. When someone tried to talk to Florence, the crew immediately stepped in to protect her and they left as soon as they finished filming.

Thanks to My Melody (Your such a great help!) who said from tavia.org stated that after Casino Crisis, Tavia is filming a new MODERN series with Raymond Lam, Bosco Wong, Moses Chan and Linda Chung. This looks to be quite assured as sehseh's blog it is stated that in July there will be a 40 episode grand production with the same cast confirmed by Raymond and from Kitson it seems that Charmaine Sheh is also in that series too.

Also from sehseh, the grand production of the two 140 episode series is that Tavia is still rumoured to take part in the 60 episode series along with Raymond Lam, Charmaine Sheh and Michael Miu who is confirmed in that series.

From Kitson it has been informed that Pearl of Orient (Liza Wang, Roger Kwok, Charmaine Sheh) and Casino Crisis (Bobby Au Yeung, Jessica Hsuan, Michael Miu, Tavia Yeung, Bosco Wong) are going to be this year's anniversary series and also from some posts in the sehseh's blog that Tai Gik (Vincent Zhao, Melissa Ng, Raymond Lam, Myolie Wu) and Land of Wealth (Moses Chan, Sonija Kwok, Steven Ma, Tavia Yeung) are going to be this year's pre-anniversary series.

Alot in store for Tavia! Hopefully after a few more days we'll have more confirmation on the supposed series!

Ella Koon, Tavia Yeung and Yumiko cheng were guests on TVB show "Beautiful Cooking" hosted by Edmond Leung, Ronald Cheng and Alex Fong recently and as Tavia entered the stage, Edmond made a comment about her tan, that sounded like a swear word and he went on to ignore Ronald's attempt to correct him, insisting that he was just stuttering, despite his past record doing the same thing. Asked if he had explained himself to TVB, he said there was nothing to explain and TVB had not questioned him about it. He says he did not mean anything and it was just a mistake. As for his past record, he says that he is not malicious and is just fluffing his lines because he has never been a host before. It looks like Edmond has still not learned his lesson after a similar incident on a charity show in 1995, leading to his subsequent freezing by TVB.

Tavia indicates that she has never cooked anything before, so she has been quite nervous about appearing on the show and even dreamed about her mother giving her half a fish and some ginger to cook, but she woke up before she tried it. Ella boasted that she is a great cook and her best dish is steamed egg and beans stir fried with beef. Asked if she has cooked for her boyfriend, she says: "I have in the past, but I don't have anyone now.I live alone, so I don't get any soup and am afraid of getting wrinkly."

Carlo Ng and Timmy Hung were guest judges on the show and revealed that they have different views on cooking skill. For Carlo, who has a family now, culinary skills are important, whereas Timmy wants looks as well. Alex was full of cheeky comments as he introduced the guests, firstly having a dig at Ella over her recent rumours of romance with Ron Ng and then going on to hint at the earlier rumours between Timmy and Tavia.

I am sooooo sorry! I was so preoccupied with my CSL tests for uni cos I arrived home late and the double episode of Grey's I just couldnt miss and time just flew by and lets not say I forgot. But its still Monday in America isnt it?

Yesterday Bosco Wong, Jessica Hsuan, Tavia Yeung, Michael Miu, and others were filming a wedding scene at a church for 'Casino Crisis'. But while walking down the aisle, the groom, Bosco, suddenly leaves the bride Tavia and runs away, leaving Tavia teary-eyed. Bosco poked fun at Tavia for using a chest pad in the series, but during the wedding scene, she can finally be loose and open. With a breathe of relief, Tavia said, "When I was filming earlier, I had to be a 36D. After two months, my neck started to hurt. Now it is a relief, but I'm not a bit not used to it. When we were filming an outdoor scene earlier, some people actually thought my stature is actually that good!'

Yesterday, Bobby Au Yeung, Jessica Hsuan, Michael Miu, Bosco Wong, Tavia Yeung, and the rest of the cast were filming a wedding scene for TVB’s new series, “Dou Cheung Fung Wan” (賭場風雲). The scene talks about Bosco and Tavia having their wedding ceremony amongst their family and friends, but Bosco suddenly walked away from Tavia and his wedding! Tearfully, Tavia tried tugging Bosco back; keeping him from leaving. But Bosco just threw Tavia off and making her fall to the ground.

This was Bosco’s second wedding scene he filmed recently of him jilting his wife-to-be at the altar; earning the nickname “runaway groom!” “When I was filming for Under the Canopy of Love (天幕下的戀人), I also left my bride [Niki Chow] on our wedding day. But this time, I found out Michael [Miu] gave money to Tavia to marry me! Prior to the wedding, Tavia even had her chest size reduced in order to please me.”

Having the chest pads off for the day’s filming, Tavia instantly felt relief in her back and waist. But since wearing the pads for over 2 months, Tavia felt rather uncomfortable without it! “I was wearing a 36D for the past couple of months filming. Of course I’m relieved without it! But it feels like something’s missing. Jessica was laughing at me and said I got used having it [upper torso] so big! No…If I had a choice I wouldn’t have want that big. Maybe a B or C size is efficient enough for me. As for going to the Philippines to film next month, I’ll still need to bring the chest pads with me.”

Next month the cast would be flying off to the Philippines to film for some outdoor location scenes. Only limited to bring 15 kg of luggage on the plane, Jessica said she’s most definitely going to bring some skin care products and some sort of entertainment. Will you bring Mahjong as one of your entertainment? “No…I’m just bringing some DVDs to watch.” Currently stressed over the the living arrangements when in the Philippines, as the rented house needs 3 people to a room, but there just so happens to be 4 guys (Bobby, Michael, Bosco, & Hui Siu Hung) and 2 girls (Jessica and Tavia)! Jessica laughingly said, “Me and Tavia sharing a room is a definite. But I’m thinking which of the guys should we share a room with? I think Hui Siu Hung. It’ll be like having another servant to use! Tell him to cook and clean for us!" Earlier, there were rumors of Jessica calling Michael old and not being famous. To this, Jessica denied it and said, “No…I would never say that! That day we [Michael and I] were filming in Tung Lor Waan and a reporter came up to ask for a picture of us. He didn’t even interview us at the end, but left and made up this whole story!”

Tavia possibly in a TVB Grand Production???

In celebration of HK 10th anniversary return to China, TVB will film two grand production series - A Tale Of Two Cities & The Changing Times later this year. The 60 episode [The Changing Times] will be produced by Poon Ka Tak (Le Femme Desperado) and revolves around the changes in HK after returning to China. TVB has invited Mainland TV station CCTV to co-produce it. Because of sentimental value and the opportunity to break into Mainland market, a lot of artiste have expressed interest in this series. Charmaine Sheh, Moses Chan, Raymond Lam, Tavia Yeung and Bobo Chan are rumored to be casted. However, so far no cast list has been confirmed yet.

On the other hand, Chik Kei Yi (WAB, DOP) has confirmed to produce [A Tale Of Two Cities] with 80 episodes. It seems that TVB will be concentrating on this two production starting from mid 2006.

Finally! A possibility that FungYi will be in another series together and this time lets hope they end up together! So the series is ahead but Tavia neither Raymond are confirmed. Tavia has a chance of filming this series after her production of Casino Crisis is finished filming which seems not far away. Also that Raymond is filming a mainland series I believe and will be finished in the end of July. I've also heard one of the GP series is starting to film in September so maybe the other will film around the same time. Nevertheless, I'll be excited if Tavia is in this!

Yesterday Tavia Yeung, Bosco Wong, Bobby Yeung, Jessica Hsuan, and Michael Miu were filming for TVB's new series 'Casino Crisis'. The plot talks about Tavia always being carelessly exposed when she joins the beauty pageant and didn't get chosen. Afterwards, Tavia and Jessica both said that they have never thought of joining a beauty pageant. Tavia said, "I don't have the courage to wear a swimming suit. If my legs were two inches longer, my chest two cup sizes bigger, and we don't have to wear swimming suits, then I'll join! But that opportunity will be in my next life!'

Michael has actually been invited to be a judge for a beauty pageant but he said, " I didn't do it. I don't want to carelessly give out the wrong grades and ruin the whole thing!"

Tavia Yeung Turns Down Jessica Hsuan's Good Intentions

Jessica Hsuan, Tavia Yeung Yi, Bosco Wong Chung Chak, Bobby Au Yeung, Florence Kwok and other cast members were filming a funeral scene at the cemetry for "Dou Cheung Fung Wan." It was an extremely hot day and since all the cast members were wearing black colored clothing, this resulted in even more discomfort for them.

Jessica was putting on sunscreen to avoid getting over tanned. Also she was spraying mosquito repellant since they were filming outdoors. Jessica noticed that Tavia was baking in the sun too so gave her some sunscreen to apply on her skin.

But after Tavia applied the lotion to her skin, she cried out. She didn't realize that Jessica had given her sunscreen lotion and had originally thought that it was insect repellant lotion instead. Tavia acts as a Philippine Chinese in the series, so she wanted to keep her tanned color. Jessica said afterwards that she created the misunderstanding and didn't realize Tavia didn't want to apply the sunscreen on her skin.

Bobby and Bosco were sweating in their dark suits yesterday and kept wiping the sweat off their faces. When reporters asked Bobby if he would apply the sunscreen and insect repellant like the ladies, he said, "Men rarely use these lotions. I just feel very hot. If I didn't have to wear a suit today, then it wouldn't have been as bad."

Funny how Tavia turned down sunscreen where normally you would see asians be the first to put on sunscreen hehe. Florence Kwok is also in this series. Well Tavia looks really pretty although I dont really like the frizz look. I prefer her wavy hair better! BTW MI III was really good (although I like pretty much anything!) that I wasn't gutted I missed my classes watching it. Its nicely plotted and did not bore me at all. Maggie Q's cantonese was horrible by the way...even I'm better at it. I'm assuming that she was raised overseas and probably didnt learn cantonese till she entered the entertainment business so dont shoot me!

Personality:
Ambitious, puts much emphasis on friendship and loyalty but doesn't realize it herself. Beautiful but lacks brains. Her mind is full of impractical thoughts. Always trying to find a way to become famous. Cares about her family but is angry at her father for not being ambitious enough. Believes her body can help change her fortunes.

Background:
Born to a Chinese family living in the Philipines, because her parents have lived there for so long, they have already picked up on the local sentiment of, "not out for wealth, just out to put food on the table." Constantly comparing her family to other wealthier Chinese-Filipinos, she finds herself growing angrier and angrier at her father, who she sees as too unambitious and always looking to have fun. Mei is determined to become famous. She is unwilling to accept that her family of seven must cram into a small house. She wants to marry a rich man and give her family a more comfortable life.

Though Mei's job as a waitress at the casino is small, this hasn't deterred her from her dreams. She grabs at every opportunity given to her, working hard to reach her goals. When the casino holds a Baccarat Beauty Pageant, Mei races to join, thinking this is her biggest chance at fame. However, she is lacking something -- breasts. Mei knows that in a beauty pageant, the best way to get the judge's attention is with a curvaceous body, so she stuffs her bikini top with breast pads. During the pageant, however, a clumsy Fu (I'm guessing this is Bosco) bumps into her and the pads fly out of her top, causing her much on-stage humiliation.

Having been hit hard with the loss, Mei quits her job as a waitress, gets breast implants, and becomes a "supervisor" of one of the casino tables, hoping that a rich guest might take notice of her. During her training session, she once again meets Fu, but instead of being angry with him, she actually admires him for his natural talent with gambling. However, her admiration only goes as far as friendship because her goal is still to find a rich man. What's ironic is that Chor (Michael Miu) actually requests that Mei use her feminine wiles to get Fu to listen to her. To protect her job, Mei has no choice but to listen to Chor and to pretend to like Fu. Having had feelings for Mei from the very beginning, Fu immediately falls for Mei's act and the two embark on a relationship.

At this time, the casino's owner's son, Yung Chi Wei suddenly expresses his interest in Mei. Having suddenly been given the chance to have her dream come true, Mei begins seeing Wei behind Fu's back. Wei and Chor happen to be fighting over the casino during this time and poor Mei is caught in the middle. Afterwards, she finds out that Wei never actually liked her and not only is her heart broken, but so are her dreams.

Having spent time with Fu, Mei realizes what a nice person he is and is touched by how much he has done for her. What was originally an act for money becomes true love as Mei finally falls for Fu. Mei tries to escape from under Chor's control but it's too late to do anything now. While she puts on a happy front, Mei is actually very afraid that one day, Fu will find out she first got together with him because Chor paid her to.

However, the truth eventually comes out and Fu breaks things off with Mei, who is devastated. She locks herself inside her home. Luckily, with the support of her parents, who sing to her everyday, Mei regains her strength. Mei recognizes that her goal is no longer to find long-lasting wealth, but to find and hold onto the one man she truly loves and to create a happy, loving home with him. Mei gets up the courage to go after Fu, who treats her coldly, once again breaking Mei's heart. At this time, she finds out she is pregnant with Fu's child. Not knowing what to do, she locks herself inside her home again. Fu realizes he really loves her and goes back to her. Mei's dreams finally come true.

Apparently Tavia Yeung's character is pregnant with Bosco Wong's child later on in the series! This is VERY interesting considering Bosco's antisocial character.

Also apparently Tavia's character joins a beauty contest but is flat chested so she puts padding on it to make her chest more fuller. Through the duration of the pageant Bosco's character unexpectedly makes Tavia's padding fall out on stage and embarasses her and losses her chance of winning.

This makes me even MORE excited about the series. This series is a definte look out for me next year! Will supply more information when I get more!!

Also according to that same site, Tavia's characters name is 譚珠美 (Tam Jue Mei)

Tavia Yeung Yi's character has a 37D figure in "Dou Cheung Fung Wan." Tavia was filming a water scene with Bosco Wong Chung Chak yesterday. In the scene, Tavia wanted to catch the attention of the wealthy Lee Tin Cheung, so she entered a swimming competition. However, Tavia suddenly had leg cramps while in the water, so Bosco's character rescued her.

Tavia had to wear a swimsuit and enter the water with the extra weights on her chest. Tavia is not very good in swimming and she was afraid that the extra weights would send her straight underwater.

Tavia explained. "When I was seven years old, we went to the water park to play. While I was on the water slide, another child from behind pushed me into the water. When I was young, my elder sister always forced me to learn how to swim. So I have always been wary of the water." Since the weather was quite cold yesterday, Tavia was shivering after being in the water.

Although Bosco is a good swimmer, he has been physically tired lately due to the constant day and night filming. So he was afraid that he couldn't handle the [rescue] scene. Although Bosco had been filming opposite the sexy Tavia lately, he said he has grown accustomed to her new image.

Bosco also said that he prefers "modestly built" women. "Tavia is very tomboyish so her new figure is not suitable for her. I also personally dislike big chests; medium size is fine!" (Does Bosco feel fortunate that he is filming opposite the 'well-built' Tavia?) "No. They are also not real!"

First post! How long will I last?

I suck at keeping up to date with blogs but I've noticed that there's hardly any blogs about Tavia news so I thought I'd try a hand in collecting any Tavia news I can find and post it up for everyone here to read! I must say the majority of the news will NOT be translated by me as my chinese is limited to only speaking only. So credit will fall due to the news item! The layout I'm still dealing with but not dealing with CSS in awhile can be a problem! Nevertheless enough of my ramblings and lets get started! BTW I wont be updating really often as I have uni and final exams coming up real soon BUT I will try to at least update once a week :)
